(1826-1888)
1866

Volume 13, page 172, sitting number 17,222.

[Identified as 'Mrs Fonblanque' in the Silvy daybooks, this is almost certainly Charlotte de Fonblanque.]

Born Charlotte Allen on 21 November 1826, she was the daughter of Charles Pettitt Allen of 17 Carlisle Street, Soho. She was baptised on 25 December 1826 at St Anne's in Soho.

On 16 May 1850 at St Marylebone Church she married Thomas Francis de Fonblanque, son of Thomas de Fonblanque.

Frank and Charlotte de Fonblanque appear on the 1861 census, living at 26 Sussex Place, Bayswater. Frank was a British Subject born in Prussia. He gave as his profession 'Civil Service War Dept.' Also present on the night of the census were their son, Charles, and their two daughters. The daughters are the following two entries in the Silvy daybooks.

Mrs Charlotte de Fonblanque died on 7 March 1888 at 66 Blenheim Crescent, Notting Hill, London. She left an estate valued at £6639.
