9 March 1861

Volume 2, page 283, sitting number 2423.

These are two of the children of the Honourable and Reverend Francis Sylvester Grimston, Rectory of Wakes Colne in Essex. They appear on the 1861 census, living with their parents, siblings, a governess and seven servants in the Rectory at Wakes Colne.

Hugh Francis Grimston was born on 11 February 1856. He died in 1932.

'The death occured rather suddenly from heart failure of Mr Hugh Francis Grimston, of 22 Ryder Street, London, S.W. He was born at Wakes Colne in 1856, the youngest son of the late Rev. the Hon. F. S. Grimston, a former rector of Pebmarsh. Mr Hugh Grimston had resided in London the greater part of his life, but the family is respectfully remembered in many parts of Essex. Mr Grimston was a much respected member of the Junior Carlton Club' (Chelmsford Chronicle, 15 July 1932).

Miss Margaret Katherine Grimston was born on 1 June 1858. She married the Honourable Walter Philip Alexander in 1882 and died in 1929.
