Général Courtois-d'Hurbal

An inked inscription verso in a period hand identifies the sitter. His name does not appear among the 97 generals listed in Disdéri's catalogue of March 1861, so presumably the general visited the photographer's studio after the catalogue was published.

General Charles-Joseph-Henri Courtois Roussel d'Hurbal took part in the war in Mexico.
