Hippolyte Lucas
(1814-1899)

The entomologist Hippolyte Lucas was an assistant naturalist at the Musée nationale d’histoire naturelle.

Between 1839 and 1842 he took part in the scientific Commission on the exploration of Algeria, studying the fauna of the country.
