Pierre-François Wartel
(1806-1882)

After a long and successful career as a tenor at the Paris Opéra, Pierre-François Wartel became a professor of singing at the Paris Conservatoire. Zélia Trebelli and Emma Abbott were among his pupils.

He died in Paris on 3 August 1882.
