Mlle Aline
The dancer Aline Dorsé, known professionally as Mademoiselle Aline, was one of the older dancers at the Paris Opéra and invariably took the role of the mother whenever necessary.
She is seen here as she appeared in Act I of the 1863 Paris Opéra production of Giselle, in which Martha Mouravieva danced the role of the eponymous heroine and Madame Aline took the role of her mother, Berthe.
