Mussurus Bey

His Excellency Mussurus Bey was appointed the Turkish ambassador to the Court of St James's in 1851. He had previously represented the Sultan at Vienna in 1848 and served as Governor of Samos. 

He and his family appear on the British census of 1861 living at the Turkish embassy in London, which was located at 1 Bryanston Square, Marylebone.
