Major and Mrs Boudier
(1820-1890 and 1834-1919)

Edward William Boudier was born on 13 August 1819 and baptised by his father, Reverend John Boudier, at the parish church of Warwick St Mary on 23 September 1819.

He appears on the 1861 census, living at or visiting the home of his father, John Boudier, at Warwick St Mary in Warwickshire. He was 41 years old and unmarried at the time of the census. He gave as his profession 'Major in Her Majesty's Indian service.'

On 15 May 1862 at Farmington in Gloucestershire Edward William Boudier, a 'Major in the Madras Army,' married Emily Maria Waller, third daughter of Harry Edmund Waller of Farmington Lodge in Gloucestershire and Kirby Hall in Yorkshire (Leamington Spa Courier, 3 May 1862). She was born on 22 May 1834. Their marriage produced six children, incuding s boy who was born prematurely in Rangoon in 1870 and did not survive. 

General Edward Boudier retired in 1881 with the rank of Lieutenant General. He died, aged 71, in Torquay on 3 November 1890.

Mrs Emily Boudier died, aged 84, on 11 March 1919 at Priory Holme, Avenue Road, Great Malvern, Worcestershire.
