[Identified in the Silvy daybooks as ‘Miss M. Walrond,' the sitter was identifed on the album page as ‘Margaret Dickinson.']

Margaret Louisa Walrond was born at Exeter in or about 1837, the daughter of Benjamin Bowden Dickinson and his wife, Frances, née Walrond. Her parents were married on 6 July 1815 and her father assumed by Royal Licence (dated 22 Apr 1845) the surname and arms of Walrond.

She appears on the 1861 census, living at 44 Southernhay, Exeter, with her widowed mother, Frances, and four servants.

On 25 August 1863 she married Edward Simcoe Drewe (1834-1883) at Uffculme in Devon.

The couple appear on the 1871 census living at Clyst Hydon in Devon with their six servants.

Mrs Margaret Drewe died on 29 December 1917 at Eastbourne House at Teignmouth in Devon. She left an estate valued at £5451.
