A carte-de-visite copy of an ambrotype portrait showing two men, one a Caucasian identified as Walter Steward and the other a Native American identified as ‘Little Drum or John, Chief [of the] Winnebago Indians.’ The full inscription reads: ‘Little Drum or John / Chief / Winnebago Indians / and / Yours truly / Walter Steward’.
