Italo Campanini

A carte-de-visite portrait of the leading Italian tenor Italo Campanini (1845-1896), whose career reached its height in London in the 1870s and in New York in the 1880s and 1890s.

condition: The print presents a small amount of spotting and a few small black marks, most
noticeably one in the area of the background just above the sitter’s head. There is also a slight
loss of tone towards the upper left-hand corner of the print. The mount presents a couple of small
marks on its reverse but is otherwise clean, firm and solid.
