| A carte-de-visite portrait of the first three children of the Prince of Wales, namely: Prince Albert Victor, known as ‘Eddy’ within the family; Prince George, later King George V; and Princess Louise, later the Princess Royal and Duchess of Fife. Judging by the age of the children, the photograph was taken not long after the birth of Princess Louise in 1867.

condition: The print presents a small amount of spotting in the area of the background and an irregularly trimmed lower edge but is otherwise in excellent condition, with very good tonal range. The mount is clean and firm, with crisp edges and sharp corners. price: SOLD code: cdv012 |
