| A cabinet card portrait of a truly ravishing beauty, presumably an actress, wearing a jaunty hat and a spotted veil. The sitter has signed ‘Margaret Fraser ‘ in ink across the lower right-hand corner of the print.
Photographed by Morrison at the Haymarket Theatre, 161 West Madison Street, Chicago. The shoulders of the sitter’s jacket, and awards referred to in the design of the backplate, clearly date the portrait to the mid-1890’s. |
