An albumen print showing a group of Indians identified as ‘Bengalee snake charmers’ by an inked inscription in a period hand in the lower margin.

Photographer unidentified but possibly E. Taurines.

The print measures 5.7” by 8” (143 mm by 203 mm) and is mounted on a cut-down section of album page that has been neatly split from its reverse by a professional conservator.

condition: The print is in excellent condition; there is a very small amount of foxing in one margin of the mount.
