A pencilled inscription on the reverse of the print reads: ‘Les evasions de la Petite Roquette / Un des couloirs de la / Prison sur lequel donnent / les cellules de jeunes détenus’ [The doors of the Petite Roquette, one of the corridors on which the cells of the young detainees open].
