An albumen print showing a group of three Andaman Islanders. According to an inscription in a period hand in the lower margin, the seated man with a deformed foot is the 'Head Man of the Andamanese.' The group has been photographed against a backdrop formed by a large Union Jack.

The print measures 6" by 4.2" (153 mm by 108 mm) and is mounted on a slightly larger section of cut-down album page which has been neatly separated from its reverse.
