A gelatin silver print showiing the corpse of a baby in a push chair or pram, one wheel of which can just be seen in the lower right-hand corner.

The print measures 5.6" by 3.9" (141 mm by 98 mm) and is mounted on a slightly larger piece of cream-coloured Bristol board with a decorative pattern embossed in the margins. An inked inscription verso in a period hand identifies the baby and gives his dates.

Photographed by Dewey of Jamestown, North Dakota.
