A small matt silver gelatin snapshot printed on AgfaLupex paper. An inked inscription verso written in the Gothic alphabet identifies the deceased as Willi Stenger and gives the location, Bamberg, and the date, 14 August 1931. It's unusual to find a post mortem portrait showing a man's hairy legs.

Photographer unidentified.

The print measures 3.5" by 2.5" (89 mm by 64 mm) including a narrow white border.
