| A matt, silver gelatin print dating from the first two decades of the 20th century, showing a baby in a white casket under a canopy of fine, white fabric. This photograph and the previous photograph listed on this page were acquired at the same time and were, in fact, sold as 'a pair.' This print is mounted on exactly the same type of board and has the same dimensions as the previous one listed. Moreover, the wallpaper in the background of the two images also appears to be the same pattern. Although no blindstamp appears on this photograph, it therefore seems likely that it was taken by the same photographer, Flickinger of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
The print measures 3.9" by 5.9" ( 99 mm by 150 mm) and is mounted on a slightly larger piece of dark brown Bristol board, |
