|A cabinet card showing a dead baby in a flower-strewn pram.
Photographed by Alfred van Besien of 14, rue de Nord, Dixmude.
Dixmude (or Diksmuide in Flemish) is a Belgian city in the Flemish province of West Flanders.
There is an inscription in Flemish pencilled on the reverse of the mount, which translates, I think, as The first child of Marieke, a relation of George's
condition: A few scuffs and scratches in the surface of the print, but excellent tonal range.
