| Lieutenant Ernest Augustus Prideaux-Brune, born 17 June 1839, the son of Charles Prideaux-Brune (1798-1875) of Prideaux Place, Padstow, Cornwall, and Frances Mary née Glynn. He married Frances Josling Prior on 21 Sep 1864. He died on 22 January 1868.
This portrait does not appear in the Silvy daybooks but the sitter is identified by an inked inscription in a period hand on the back of the mount. His mother and father were also visitors to Silvy's studio. |
