The daughters of Dr. Charles and Mrs. Caroline Barham, Miss Constance Eliza Barham and Miss Bertha Carlyon Barham, both christened at Truro, Cornwall, on 11 April 1842. The 1861 census, which shows them living with their parents at Strangways Terrace, Truro, gives both their ages as 19, so presumably they were twins.
