Judging by evidence elsewhere in the album, this is a brother of Charles North (1828-1906). He, meaning Charles, lived at Rougham Hall in Norfolk and in 1859 married Augusta Keppel, daughter of Rev. Hon. Thomas Robert Keppel.

If correct, then the parents of this sitter and of Charles North were Frederick North (1800-1869), for many years Member of Parliament for Hastings, and his wife, Janet née Marjoribanks.
