Born Katherine Georgiana Morier, the daughter of John Philip Morier and Horatia Maria Seymour, daughter of Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour, on 1 February 1847 she married Hon. Francis Grimston, son of the 1st Earl of Verulam. Her husband was the Rector of Wakes Colnes in Essex.

She appears on the 1861 living with her family in the Rectory at Wakes Colnes. At the time of the census she was 39 years old, so she was born in or about 1822. Also present on the night of the census were her three sons and three daughters, a governess, a nurse, a nursery maid, a lady’s maid, a cook, a housemaid, a kitchen maid and a footman.

Hon. Mrs. Grimston died on 2 March 1879.
