Hon. Bertrand Pleydell-Bouverie was born on 23 April 1845, the third son of Jacob Pleydell-Bouverie and his wife, Mary Augusta Frederica née Grimston. At the death of his grandfather in 1869, his father became the 4th Earl of Radnor.

On 21 April 1870 he married Lady Constance Jane Nelson, daughter of Horatio Nelson, 3rd Earl Nelson of Trafalgar and of Merton.

Reverend Bertrand Pleydell-Bouverie was the Rector at Pewsey in Wiltshire. He held the office of Prebendary of Salisbury Cathedral.

He died on 7 November 1926, at the age of 81.
