Hon. Osbert William Craven was born on 6 February 1848, the third son of William Craven, 2nd Earl of Craven. For 34 years served in the Berkshire Infantry Yeomanry as Lieutenant-Colonel; he also held the office of Justice of the Peace for Berkshire. His skills covered woodwork, turning on the lathe, bookbinding and leatherwork,

Hon. Robert Walter Craven was born on 4 January 1850. He joined the Royal Navy but died on 5 March 1866, aged 16, at Montevideo in Uruguay, aboard H.M.S. Spiteful.
