Volume 1, page 150, sitting number 804.

Recorded in the Silvy daybooks as 'Victomesse de Barington [sic] et sa soeur', two images are entered for the one sitting.

Born Hon. Adelaide Barrington, she was the daughter of William Keppel Barrington, 6th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Hon. Jane Elizabeth née Liddell. She married Charles Balfour on 28 November 1860 and died on 23 February 1863, three days after giving birth to her son, Charles Barrington Balfour.

She appears on the 1861 census, with her husband, staying at Mansion House, Nenthorn, Berwickshire in Scotland, the home of her mother-in-law, Lady Eleanor Balfour. She was 22 years old at the time of the census so was born in or about 1839.
