Volume 9, page 245, sitting number 11,976.

The 1881 census shows a Lowry Mann, magistrate, visiting Sir Thomas Boughey at Brewood Hall, Brewood, Staffs. Born in Everton, Lancashire, he gave his age as 46, which would mean he was born in 1835 and would therefore have been 27 when he sat for this portrait.

According to Burke's Peerage he lived at Earleston, Cheshire.
