| First presented in 1845, with Carlotta Grisi as Mazourka and Lucien Petipa as Count Polinski, the grand ballet Le Diable à quatre was revived, with new sets and costumes, in 1862 as a vehicle for Marie Petipa on her second visit to Paris. Its first night was on 20 June and it closed on 30 July. |
