| The front of the mount identifies the photographer as Vivot et Cie. However, according to the backplate, this was a branch of 'la maison Disdéri' and was situated at two addresses in Amiens. According to Voignier's Répertoire des photographes de France au dix-neuvième siècle, Vivot operated at 4, boulevard de Beauvais in Amiens between roughly 1865 and 1896, but this is not one of the address given on this mount. Presumably, this carte predates Vivot's studio listed in Voignier. |
