| The tones of the print appear a little dark since the carte has at some time been varnished, and this coating has now yellowed slightly. Although rare, one does occasionally come across cartes that have been treated in this way and they are always by Disdéri, which rather suggests that this was an optional service that was – probably only for a short while – available from the studio. |
