(1842-1892 and 1843-1921)

Volume 1, page 77, sitting number 513.

Identified as 'Miss Louisa & Miss Julia Hartopp' on the album page, these are two of the six daughters of Sir William Edmond Cradock-Hartopp (1797-1874), 3rd Baronet Cradock-Hartopp, and his wife, Jane Mary, daughter of Henry Bloomfield Keane.

The two girls appear on the 1861 census, aged 19 and 18 respectively, living at the house of their father, Four Oaks Hall, Sutton Coldfield. Also present on the night of the census were the Marquis of Hastings, and the Earl of Guilford with his mother and brother.

Louisa Margaret Emily Hartopp married Captain Thomas Charles Douglas Whitmore, son of Thomas Charlton Whitmore and Lady Louisa Anne Douglas, on 11 May 1867. She died on 29 November 1892.

Julia Charlotte Hartopp married Henry Bentinck Boyle, 5th Earl of Shannon, son of Richard Boyle, 4th Earl of Shannon and Emily Henrietta Seymour, on 14 January 1868 at Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham, Warwickshire. She died on 27 December 1921.
