Born Caroline Carlyon at Truro in Cornwall on 1 August 1811, she was the daughter of Dr Clement Carlyon. [His portrait appears on page 37 of this section.]

On 28 September 1839 in Truro she married Dr Charles Barham. [His portrait appears on the same page of this section.]

Mrs Caroline Barham died, aged 80, on 11 March 1892 at Colchester Villa in Truro, leaving effects valued at £8681.
